This is a FREE Virtual 15-minute no-obligatory alignment call to see if working with our naturopathic doctor on a 1:1 basis is the next right step for you at this time in your health and wellness journey or what other options there may be.
This is where you can ask any general questions about naturopathic medicine that you may have and how it may help you achieve your health goals. It also determines whether a virtual assessment or in-person assessment is best for your health concern(s). Please note that no individualized health recommendations will be provided during this discovery call - it is simply a meet and greet.

For Individuals 18 years and older. A comprehensive VIRTUAL initial visit that can last from 60-90 minutes.

This is for children 17 years of age and under. A comprehensive VIRTUAL initial visit that can last up to 60 minutes.

This is a short initial appointment for new patients to Dr. Shah's practice who have an acute concern, simply looking for injection or IV therapy, or are just looking for diagnostic testing such as vitamin D, other blood tests, food sensitivity testing, SIBO testing, or DUTCH testing. Additional costs for the test.
If you would like a treatment plan based on your test results, it is recommended to book a comprehensive initial so we can formulate a treatment plan based on a whole-body approach.
For prolotherapy, IV therapy, or vitamin injections, please contact Dr. Shah directly at this time at 403-968-8514 to determine if a virtual or in-person initial appointment is best.

This is a 45-60 minute appointment for children and adults booked as a second visit. This session is where we review the findings from the initial intake, any test results, provide any education, and discuss your personalized treatment strategy or health roadmap.
A 2-week personalized meal plan could be provided that is in alignment with the treatment strategy.

This is a 30-minute follow-up appointment for adults and children to check-in and assess the current treatment strategy and if modifications should be made.

This is a 45-minute follow-up appointment for children and adults who would like more time to review their health and wellness and to assess the current treatment strategy and if modifications are to be made.
Nurse Practitioner
There is a charge for appointments but blood tests requisitioned are at no charge as they are covered through Alberta healthcare.

This is for new patients seeing Tyla for the first time. This initial consultation with Tyla, our nurse practitioner involves a complete review of your medical history - physical and mental health screening, discussing your pertinent health concerns, medication and supplement review, and, reviewing labs and/or ordering new labs. Labs are ordered through AHS.

$150 (30 minutes)
This is for new patients seeing Tyla for the first time. The NP will review your health and lifestyle history to assess if you are a good candidate for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. If you are a candidate, a bloodwork requisition will be given. Tests are covered under Alberta Health. Once the results are received, an HRT Plan visit can be booked to discuss a treatment plan.

This is booked after your initial appointment with Tyla. Follow-up appointments are designed to discuss any test results, follow through on treatment plans, and/or discuss any changes that should be made to medications or supplements.

This is for the first visit following the blood test to establish the prescription. This appointment can also be used to book subsequent visits. Follow-up appointments can be every 3-6 months to ensure symptoms and levels are stable. Once stable, ongoing appointments may be every year but frequency of appointments is decided with your practitioner.
